The American Society is thrilled to invite you to join us for the opening of Wayne E Campbell's SHELTER FROM THE STORM at Haimney Gallery. Campbell has a long and distinguished career as an artist beginning in the 60s when he was working with fiberglass to create both large and small scale sculptures. He continued to push the boundaries of experimentation in the 70s, utilizing folding chairs in conjunction with canvas paintings to create a full artistic experience. Campbell has been in solo exhibitions from 1966 through this year, appearing in the Liberty Art Museum, Stanford Art Gallery, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, among other well-known galleries. This show features a number of paintings and collages from Campbell's Shelter series including his most recently completed large-scale painting SHELTER (150 cm x 180 cm). Campbell lives and works in Barcelona and New York. |
