Situated in an especially singular spot beside the sea, the Botanical Gardens auditorium will for a further year host the Cap Roig Gardens Festival, a summer festival open to various stage disciplines. Dance, world music forms, opera, jazz, classical music, etc., are the programmatic axes of a Festival that from a standpoint of diversity sets out to offer rigour, quality, originality and creativity in all its shows, so as to be able to reach a broad sector of the public. Great stage figures have brought and will bring their art to the Cap Roig auditorium, a reference-point among summer festivals.

The Festival International de la Porta Ferrada, the oldest of Catalonia, was born in 1958 at the Monastery of Sant Feliu de Guixols and it’s name was originated in the oldest part of this monumental set. Located between most outstanding of the summer panorama, it offers a program of quality directed to an extensive and heterogeneous public. Its interdisciplinary character –music, theater and dance- makes this high level, guaranteed by artists of recognized prestige.

Every summer the townsfolk of Sant Climent de Peralta relive the traditional harvest and threshing rites in a festival which shows how these typical jobs were done by farm laborers in the past.
The festival is divided into three parts which correspond to planting (December), harvesting (June) and threshing (July).
Several farm workers from the area take part in the show, using traditional farming implements. One of the most spectacular moments is usually the threshing and the building of the haystack. The numerous methods used can be followed in El Cau dels Pins in Sant Climent de Peralta.
