This event is open to anyone who is, or wants to be, a Data Protection (Privacy) professional, or would like to meet people who work in this space to help you become more secure consumers of Information Society services.

Examples of the laws and regulations which Privacy / Data Protection includes are the Spanish LOPD, the EU Data Protection Directive, and various sectoral regulations such as the EC Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive's rules on telemarketing permissions management http://eur-lex.europa.eu/pri/en/oj/dat/2002/l_201/l_20120020731en00370047.pdf, and the US Electronic Communications Privacy Act, US CAN-SPAM, US HIPAA, etc.

This event is focused on personal data protection legal/regulatory, not on technical information security. Technical questions are not the focus, but will of course be entertained.
